The Italian Institutions are dragging the European Union back to the era of the deportations, ghettoes, racial discrimination and ethnic cleansing.
Institutional racism in Italy has reached levels that are unworthy of the spirit and principles that made up and still inspire the European Union. While Europe is attempting to rid itself of the ghosts of the Holocaust and ethnic cleansing, violations of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the Geneva Convention are taking place every day in Italy.
In a matter of months, the civil conquests of the continent have been swept away and we are witnessing every kind of ethnic abuse: the pushing back of refugees towards countries with no respect for human rights; Failure to assist refugees in boats or on land, the cause of a genocide (see: http://www.timesofmalta.com); anti-immigrant agreements with ruthless regimes; the passing of racial laws; the organization and carrying out of ethnic cleansing operations against the Roma people; the creation of ghettoes; police and judiciary abuse, and the institution of xenophobic vigilantes patrols with the approval of the institutions.

The Mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno, sums up the racist drift in a declaration he made on August 15th: “There can be a maximum number of 6,000 ‘nomads’ in Rome, housed in 12 camps, two of which will be built in the next few months. These camps will be fenced in and controlled by the police to prevent the spread of crime”. In the heart of the European Union - which aims to be civil and modern - Rome has created another Ghetto.
Working side by side with the UN High Commission for Refugees, the EU institutions fighting racism and democratic political figures throughout the world, EveryOne Group is busy setting up a Task Force, which, by breaking down the wall of lies and indifference, and taking the appropriate measures, attempts to oppose the racist drift and genocide underway in Italy over the last several years.
