African migrants in the Sinai: let us not repeat the negative outcome of the 1938 Evian Conference. Milan, December 31, 2010. We must ask ourselves what the future has in store for the African immigrants when they are released by their captors.

To change this terrible reality in the Sinai, we must achieve many other goals. It is, however, important not to repeat the outcome of the Evian Conference or it would result in the victory of intolerance, violence, abuse and death. In addition to the resettlement plan, our principal aim is to oppose the policies of refoulement, ethnic and racial persecution, the systematic violation of the Geneva Convention, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Policies which unfortunately Italy, like at the time of the Evian Conference, is a ruthless promoter.
